Website accessibility review, preliminary check
The project issues
The Council identified the need to improve their website and in particular to ensure that it conformed to accessibility guidelines.
The Socitm Consulting solution
Our role was to carry out a review of the newly revised Council website in respect of the WAI Accessibility guidelines.
To examine a representative sample of pages and to compile a report listing and describing the types of problems encountered, as well as best practices that should be continued or expanded on the site; explaining the method by which problems were identified and recommending follow-up steps.
We produced a written report detailing our findings.
The benefits to the client
Potential to improve 'Better Connected' rating.
If recommendations implemented, Council would have a more accessible website.
