Records Management strategy review
The project issues
Warwick District Council wanted to ensure that its Records Management strategy complied with Information Management as well as technological best practice. Socitm Consulting was asked to undertake a review of the Council’s Record Management strategy from an Information Management perspective and make recommendations for improvement.
The Socitm Consulting solution
We began the project with a review of the Council’s documentation relating to its existing Records Management strategy. We used the review as a basis for a workshop with key stakeholders to assess the current Records Management structure and its implementation and to explore possible improvements.
We then provided a written report, detailing the workshop conclusions and including recommendations for improvement based on the Records Management standard ISO 15489.
The benefits to the client
With our expertise in Information and Records Management, we were able to assist the Council in reviewing its current Records Management strategy against best practice guidelines. The Council received reassurance that the work undertaken to date has been on the right track and a series of recommendations were developed for improving its Record Management strategy to best practice standards.
