Well that's the conference for another year! This year, the Socitm stand in the exhibition area seemed to be busier than ever - maybe because we were cramming so much different content into it, and of course having a generous supply of chocolates on hand always helps. With our Council of the Future feature on the stand, plus the Aspire material for professionalism and SFIA, not to mention Insight and Socitm corporate, there was a lot going on.

The Council of the Future presentations in the parallel sessions of the programme seemed to go down well - both were extremely well attended (we had to extra seats brought into the room) and several people commented after on how well the presentation had gone. One of the strong messages from many of those who attended was that they wanted their chief executive to get the same message - so we are planning to get round and visit some individually and also to use other routes to get in front of chief executives and council leaders.

For the first time, we wore t-shirts on the stand, to advertise our Council of the Future - they certainly made us stand out, and people were quick to take up the offer of having t-shirts to take away - we had a hundred printed for the conference and managed to give them all away! Maybe we should have had a competition for the furthest afiled one of these t-shirts reaches?
